“Bad Boy vs Leader-1” by Laurent Libessart -
I collect Transformers and Gobots. And when I exchange with another guy, I add a little drawing. Here is one of those I scanned before giving it away. This robot-toy (the green) got fist drawn on the side of his arms. But when I was a child, I imagined that he just got burning turbine. War-machine don’t need hands!
Pen and painting on grey paper plus computer for the colors.
I can’t even explain how amazing this is.
Baron Von Joy (Gobots, Tonka, 1984)
As is custom, I scooped up a handful of cheap Gobots at this year’s Botcon. I grabbed the Baron here in particular because (1) I had him when I was a kid, (2) his swanky Porsche mode, and (3) he came complete with his chromed laser gun.
Only wait, no! On further investigation, the gun I got with him actually belongs to Bug Bite! D’oh well. That’s what I get for buying toys without researching them first.

Gotta love the name Cy-Kill, way more villainous than say Megatron…
and lookit- the Go-Bots had female robots! Wow, so much more integrated that those transformers…

[Tonka] Cy-Kill (Robot Mode) by TheDaiOni on Flickr.
This is the “evil” repaint of the Machine Robo MR-01 Bike Robo toy that became Cy-Kill in the Gobots universe. Apparently Bike Robo’s red, white, and blue paint scheme wasn’t villainous enough for the Cy-Kill character, but the Gobots animation model had already gone into production with the original colours.
Wendy’s Gobots Guide-Star by (Talyn)
Amazing shot! I love the Wendy’s-bots and I’m pretty sure I had them all (and probably still do in a bin somewhere…)

I think Counter-X said it best: The 280 Fairlady-Z is the nicest car ever.
(ALSO: I love Gobots THERE I SAID IT)
Oddball - Pen and Ink
In terms of transforming robot toys sold through fast food places, the Wendy’s Gobots were hands down the best.
They came on-card, were the same scale as their mainline counterparts and had bios, something the normal small Gobots didn’t get. That, and they were sturdy S.O.B.s, being made to breakage-proof fast food premium standards.
Here is a pen-and-ink of Oddball, one of the Renegade Wendy’s Gobots. I may color him eventually.
